The 5 Most Exciting New Releases for 2019!

I love looking into the newest books that are coming out. This fall has a great number of sequels and follow-ups to books that I have already read and reviewed. Even though I’ve already hit my Goodreads reading goal for the year, I’m going to have to make time to read these! Without further ado, these are the books I’m looking forward to for the rest of 2019!

Five Dark Fates by Kendare Blake

Out September 3rd, this final book in the Three Dark Crowns quad is one that I am looking forward to. Having read Three Dark Crowns, One Dark Throne, and Two Dark Reigns, I need to know how this story ends!

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

A follow up to The Handmaid’s Tale, out September 10th, Atwood has gone beyond her original source material to show us more of The Handmaid’s Tale’s world. I am attending an event with her in September, so I’m looking forward to diving into this tale.

The Toll by Neal Schusterman

Out on November 5th, The Toll is the final in the Scythe trilogy. After the cliff-hanger ending from Thunderhead, The Toll is much anticipated. The Scythe trilogy has made me think a great deal about life and death. Now that it is coming to an end there are many open questions that hopefully this book will answer.

Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

The first two novels in this trilogy, The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King, lead the reader through a wild ride in Faerie. Out on November 19th, Queen of Nothing is highly anticipated to bring together the intrigue of the court with a queen that has been banished from her kingdom. I enjoy Holly Black’s faerie aesthetic and intriguing plots. This book is not one to be missed!

Starsight by Brandon Sanderson

A sequel to Skyward, Starsight will go deeper into the world that Brandon Sanderson started to tell about. Out November 26th, this sequel will tell a different but related story. Given the mystery of humanity’s situation in Skyward, it will be interesting to find out more about this Sci-fi and futuristic world.
